WordPress Search Engine Optimization

Your new WordPress site rocks! Congratulations! But it's not enough that we think it's a great site, we want the search engines to agree and to reward us with free traffic.

We found a handy little document on line about getting your site ready for search engines. Hopefully, we've done all of this for you, but if not, read this SEO Quick Start Optimization Guide (PDF 6MB) and make any necessary edits.

One very powerful plugin that we use on every site is the All-In-One-SEO-Pack. This is a free plugin (a paid version is available but the differences are quite minute -- keep in mind, there is little to no support offered).

There's a great video available that explains how to use this plugin so go grab a cup of coffee, a pad of paper and pencil, and watch the following. Then, come back to your website and implement what you've learned. It's not hard but it does take time (and it takes time for the search engines to find you, too, but that's another tutorial (be sure to read all of our articles on SEO -- they are a great resource, if we do say so ourselves):
