Web Design Shop Offers Many Services

Fremont's Webeze, which makes Web sites for businesses, has finalized alliances with several independent companies in order to offer its clients one-stop shopping for marketing services
"This is not too different from what you would get out of a big advertising agency that works in the area," said Marc Ryan, director of analysis for Nielsen/NetRatings. "What is unusual is that a smaller operation could offer all of these services."
The five-year old Web development company now has alliances with Sunnyvale public relations frim c3PR, search engine optimization firm Elixir Systems of Arizona, graphic design firm Bianchi Design of Boulder Creek, copywriter Brenda Galloway of Kansas City, designer Christian Baptiste and developer Dustin M. Waibel.

"It's hard for smaller shops to compete with big agencies," Ryan said, noting that large advertising agencies charge more to create Web sites. According to Kelley Rao, president of Webeze, her company charges $5000 to $10,000 for a Web site with search optimization, professional copywriting and logo.
"Developing relationships with the Independent contractors will help Webeze compete with larger shops," Ryan said.
"Our clients have our recommendations so they don't have to go searching for services. We've done the legwork for them," said Rao. She is the firm's only non-contract employee.
Search engine optimization is crtitcal to a Website's success these days, according to Ryan. The phrase referes to various techniques used to make the site show up higher in search results returned by search engines such as Google.
Webeze's clients range from fitness companies such as Curves of Santa Clara to technology firms like chipmaker Spinnaker Microwave to real estate firms, law firms and nonprofits such as Silicon Valley Animal Rights.
