On Point!

We're very pleased to announce that Webeze has recently been awarded the contract to redesign the City of Newark (CA) website.  It's an important and exciting project and we're looking forward to the challenge.  Things kick off next week.

Call me Sarah Palin 2, because I feel I'm like a "pitbull with lipstick" at times.  I just can NOT let something go until I have exhausted every known effort to me.  Such was the case of trying to establish a business profile on FaceBook. 

I tried every which way I could and finally stumbled upon a post (and subsequently a sign up link) on a newsgroup I belong to.  Let me share it with you here to save you a few hours (days, weeks) of searching for this yourself:  http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=logo#/pages/create.php

The trick is you need to set up a personal account first and once logged in, you can create any number of FaceBook business sites. 

Now, why would you want to do this?  I consider it brand protection.  Which is why I also have a MySpace and Twitter account.  Basically, if you don't create these accounts in your name, someone else could and possibly divert traffic intended for you or worse, damage your good name. 

Well, it only took us a little over a year to launch the new and improved Webeze website.  But hey, we were busy designing sites for our valued clients so we have a valid excuse...  I only wish now we'd done it sooner.  Since the launch just over a week ago, the leads have been steadily streaming in.  And good leads, I might add.  A redesign can be painful but it can also be very rewarding.  How's your site working for you?
